The 2019 Honda Accord Remains a McKinney Favorite

The Honda Accord is one of the most well-known nameplates in the world--behind only, perhaps, the Civic. Families in McKinney and Dallas have long chosen a Honda midsize sedan as the right car for their daily driving and weekend adventure needs, thanks to its comfortable balance of price and performance, and the legendary confidence of Honda capability and value. Last year, after a major redesign, everything you loved about the Honda Accord got a lot better.

The 2019 Honda Accord stays in its weight class, so it will still be competing against the regulars--the Camry, Legacy, Fusion, and the Altima--but its new look, new premium interior, and new attitude make it an entirely new kind of rival. For 2019, you can choose from trim levels like the LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring.

How It's Competing on a Whole New Level

It starts with subtle differences, like two inches of additional legroom for your rear-seat passengers, which build on a gorgeous new exterior styled quietly after the agile bodies of muscle cars, and works seamlessly with an updated infotainment system (rejoice for physical buttons), Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, and Honda Sensing safety. The 2019 Honda Accord gives you more standard features than ever before: it's a whole lot, for not a whole lot. Upgrade to top-level trims like the EX-L or the Touring, and you'll sink into dream-like features: power moonroof, heated seats, leather upholstery, premium audio and surround-sound speakers, and tons of standard driver-assistance features.

Redesigned and Reimagined

The iconic Honda Accord was completely redesigned for the new generation last year; nearly everything has been redrawn, retuned, reupholstered, or refreshed from the previous generation. It's the kind of car that you need to see in person, to get the full force of what this redesigned sedan brings to the table. It's unlike anything we've seen from this midsize favorite in the past, and the Honda Accord has adopted a whole new premium style that you'll love.

Two Levels of Turbocharged Performance

This once-simple car has come a long way from its days as a rectangular, spartan four-door designed as an economical car for families; now, it's the sporty sedan for all. A new powertrain comes standard on the stylish 2019 Honda Accord: a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine good for 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. That makes this midsize family sedan a surprisingly peppy option for drivers who don't want to lose their youthful exuberance--but need the extra elbow room and trunk space of a larger car. If power is a priority, Honda also introduced a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, good for 252 horsepower and 274 pound-feet of torque, that replaces the previous generation's i-VTEC V-6 engine.

New Smarts, Better Safety

No longer is the Honda Accord just one of the most practical family sedans to buy in the Dallas area--it's now also one of the best-looking, and one of the most well-connected, too. Honda's brought a new, ultra-premium feel to the 2019 Honda Accord, and we can't stop talking about it. One of the few updates for the 2019 MY after the big release last year is the addition of standard Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistance features, including Adaptive Cruise Control and Auto High Beams.
