2019 Honda Insight in McKinney

The "Insight" Nameplate Gets Fresh New Life in the All-New 2019 Honda Insight in McKinney

You may remember the very first Honda Insight (a tiny, hatchback-like subcompact car) or the more-recent Honda Insight generation (another hatchback type). But, it's time to forget everything you knew about the previous Insight nameplate--other than its commitment to efficiency, practicality, and quality, that is. Because this all-new hybrid sedan is unlike any of its previous generations. For 2019, trim levels include the 2019 Honda Insight LX, EX, and Touring.

Performance and Eco Modes

Standard power for the 2019 Honda Insight comes from a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, and a lithium-ion battery--and this smart new system sends power to only the front wheels. Thanks to the electric motors + gas engine, the new Honda Insight offers a combined output of 151 horsepower and 197 pound-feet of torque, which is pretty good for its class. ECON, Sport, and EV selectable driving modes can tune performance to specific environments.

Interior Features

With expected best-in-class passenger volume, the 2019 Honda Insight takes inspiration from other legendary and popular Honda sedans--its attractive cabin is modern and connected enough to satisfy drivers just looking for a commuter car, while the spacious interior makes it perfect for families looking to reduce their footprint. Features like rain-sensing wipers, heated leather seats, a power sunroof, and premium audio round this efficient hybrid car out as an exceptional daily driver.

Exterior Styling and Design

What's the best design feature of the new 2019 Honda Insight. It doesn't go big, bold, or brash--in fact, this hybrid sedan just looks like a car. But, for the many Texas drivers who may have passed on a hybrid in the past because of the stereotypical boxy, unattractive looks, this is big. Styling choices like the roofline, and structural equipment like the chassis and wheelbase, are taken from the Honda Civic, so the eye-catching exterior is a fresh breath of life for the Insight name.

Safety and Technology

Every new 2019 Honda Insight LX, EX, and Touring comes standard with a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Guidelines for easier navigation of tight spots and busy parking lots. Another surprising standard feature? The Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistance features, including things like Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, and Lane Keeping Assist System. Available infotainment and connectivity features include a 7.0-inch display screen or 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot.
