On Friday, in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Honda announced another round of Takata airbag recalls, expanded and ahead of schedule. The new round will add more than a million vehicles produced by the Honda brand, in an attempt to reach a full 100% rate of completed repairs.
Why is Honda working so hard to repair and replace ahead of schedule?
While other automakers may take their time getting drivers in for service, Honda aggressively contracted with suppliers and performed strong outreach to be able to contact as many drivers as possible, quickly.
The brand has built its name on safety and family security, and on engineering great cars that last. This proves Honda's commitment to making safe family vehicles, and we're proud to do our part.
Here's how you can know whether or not your Honda Civic, Pilot, Odyssey, Accord, Insight, Ridgeline, or other model is currently under recall.
